Dominican State University bans the self-proclaimed “antichrist”Artículo original
SANTO DOMINGO. - The Santo Domingo State University (UASD) said yesterday it won’t rent its Magna Classroom to stage the conference by Puerto Rican preacher Jose Luis de Jesus Miranda, known as the “antichrist," slated for Monday, June 11.

UASD official Teresa Mejía, who is in charge of the Magna Classroom, made the decision, which is supported by the director Roberto Reyna, who said the UASD cannot allow in its very campus activities that cause conflict and jeopardize its image.

In a press note the State University said it didn’t sponsor the conference, and only rents the auditorium.

De Jesus Miranda has sparked controversy in Central America as the self-proclaimed "Antichrist and Jesus Christ made man."

Guatemala and El Salvador have prohibited his entry, whose followers are tattooed with the number 666, break religious images and are allegedly linked to the violent gangs of youngsters which affect those countries.
